KOMETS CAP SEASON WITH SEVENTH TURNER CUP CHAMPIONSHIP
•2010 playoff championship is the seventh Turner Cup Crown and eighth overall
playoff championship in the 58-year history of the Komets in Fort Wayne.
•The Komets reached the 100-point plateau for the fourth straight season and
15th time overall in the team's 58-year history.
•The Komets set a home attendance franchise record for the third straight season
with an average of 7,825 fans per game.
•After becoming the Komets' winningest coach last year, Al Sims became the first
Fort Wayne head coach to win three consecutive championships and four straight
personally.
•David Franke was named the IHL General Manager of the Year, Bob Chase was
Broadcaster of the Year, Tim Haun snagged the Goaltender of the Year award and
Colin Chaulk was named IHL Outstanding Defensive Forward of the Year.
•4 CUPS: Al Sims, Guy Dupuis, Kevin Bertram, Colin Chaulk.
•3 CUPS: Nick Boucher, P.C. Drouin, David Hukalo, Justin Hodgman, Konstantin
Shafranov, Brandon Warner.
•2 CUPS: Joining the ranks of two-time Komet champs are Tim Haun, Brad
MacMillan, Danko Mironovic, Sean O'Connor, Keith Rodger, Leo Thomas and Mitch
Woods.
